FAQ
What institutions ask about the platform, the sandbox boundary, security, and pilots, all answered from the same commitments the rest of this site makes.Plain answers, before the sales call.
Platform
Verela brings regional evidence, provider checks, institution policy, and human review into one accountable decision record for Caribbean financial institutions.
Applicant verification flows run in English, French, and Haitian Creole on every plan.
Haiti is the first jurisdiction module. Each new Caribbean market is introduced through its own versioned requirements: evidence rules, languages, recovery paths, approvals, and provider choices.
Sandbox and data
No. Every plan operates in the synthetic sandbox. Processing real identity data requires a separate institutional review and approval. Paying by card does not turn production processing on.
Signing up provisions a workspace for synthetic data only. Processing real identity data requires a separate review and approval. A card payment does not unlock production processing.
The included verification allowance resets every month on every plan, including annual subscriptions. Sandbox stops at its included allowance. Growth and Institution continue and bill each additional verification at the stated rate. An annual subscription does not pool the allowance across the year.
Security and trust
No. Verela is built for sensitive institutional workflows, but it does not claim certifications, regulatory approval, or production readiness that has not been independently earned.
WorkOS identity, server-resolved organization membership, role checks, and tenant-scoped data access apply on every sensitive request, and cross-tenant resources remain indistinguishable from missing ones.
Versioned policy, normalized checks, actor history, request IDs, and immutable decision events preserve accountability for every outcome.
Pilots
A narrow sandbox or shadow-mode evaluation of one real workflow. No production identity data is required for the first evaluation, and the institution keeps full decision authority throughout.
Completion, correction, review time, exception reasons, provider resilience, and reconstruction of the final record.
